Our online family portrait: slightly paranoid
Kids:
. we are overprotective compared to other countries.
. they lie to adults because they think they'll get in trouble or that their internet will be limited or filtered.
. we wont turn parental controls on
. they surf less and have more rules.
So, the fear campaign has worked. Parents are frightened of the net so their kids, not able to fathom why the adults are in such a tizz, are protecting them from the worst of it.
